I always get asked about what products I’m using, or what I would recommend. While the answers are typically predicated upon what exactly I’m working on, I do have a group of go-to products that I simply can’t live without.
So when I’m making recommendations to consumers and detailers alike on specific products, it’s based off of countless hours, months, and years of using these items religiously. They always perform, and they are easy products to work with.
If a product is discontinued, or if I find an alternative product I like better, I will change this list up accordingly.
MY MUST-HAVE / FAVORITES LIST:
Interior Product: Meguiar’s Quik Interior Detailer. Works on about everything but cloth, but I prefer to use it on hard, shiny surfaces (nav screens, gauges, chrome, wood trim, etc). It’s also the perfect solution for cleaning laptops, and expensive home stereo equipment.
Leather Care: Leatherique Prestine Clean and Rejuvenator. An old-school, timeless classic! The best leather cleaner and conditioner available. Period.
Polish: Sonax Perfect Finish. No other product on the market has as much range. It has great cut for a one-step, and can finish down perfectly on even the finest finishes. German engineering at its best.
Buffer: Rupes LHR15 MKII. The best all-around polisher in the world. Designed and manufactured in Italy. High performance, smooth, versatile, and durable.
Favorite Buffing Pad: Rupes Yellow Polishing Pad. These get used more than anything in our shop…by far! Has a great cut for one-steps, or can be used as a finishing pad. Very versatile and durable.
Coating: KAMIKAZE ISM Coat. Most incredible, dripping-wet look in a coating. Just one coat is all you need, and it can be used to restore plastic as well. For a single-layer coating, you simply can’t beat it.
Coating Combination: KAMIKAZE Miyabi Coat Base, topped with KAMIKAZE ISM COAT. When you start with the brilliant shine of the Miyabi Coat, then top it with dripping wet gloss of ISM Coat, you create an entirely different look altogether. We reserve this for when the “best of the best” looks are the ultimate goal.
Quick Detailer: Jescar Paint Refresh. Incredibly easy to use, nice scent, great looks, no streaking.
Car Shampoo: Gyeon Bathe. Gentle yet effective, easy to use, no streaks. Whether you’re working on a coated car or a standard finish…you can’t go wrong with Bathe!
Drying Towel: Gyeon Silk Dryer. Big, plush, thirsty, and super-soft! I’ve never found another drying towel that even comes remotely close to this in terms of performance.
Plush Microfiber Towel: ESOTERIC Ultra-Premium MF towel. I had to put at least one of my products on here! But seriously, these are ridiculously soft, and I know I can rely on them whether it’s on my personal car, or a customer’s 7-figure vehicle.
